Currently stuck on being completely unable to focus and having a lot of tasks that don’t sound fun to do.
Made a meme about my latest game:
So the computer in the corner here was just going to be my save point in the game I’m making
until I got distracted and made a little fake OS for it and now I’m just dragging windows around for fun send help

Good thread!! I’ve already got a devlog on another forum (knockout.chat) so I don’t want to go spamming everywhere but I like sharing so this is poifect.
I’m making a VR-first-but-not-VR-only mech simulator that’s kind of shaping up to be DCS for mechs, but made by one idiot so not quite as polished yet. I’ve been working on it for 5 years-ish and it’s got: falling over, leg blasting, 15km map, tree blasting, grass deleting, remote drones, clicky switches and a bunch of other scope creep.
Recently I finally added HOTAS support as a way of avoiding working on the mission editor and with the help of actual hardware I managed to get it working! Here’s a vid shot on an old xbox 360 webcam lol:
this picture serves absolutely no gameplay purpose but I felt this character would have at least one photo of herself and her sister saved to her desktop and god this game is never getting finished is it lol
Your scope is creeping!
hell yeah @NotJam that looks so good!
the palette is soooooo nice
today i finally get to post about the soundtrack i made for the physics puzzle game my friends and i released last month!! i’m super proud of it, it was a lot of fun because the game has such an interesting texture, i kinda just got to go wild with genre and stuff haha
took a while to put it all together because we wanted to include as many of the alternate/re-pitched/etc in-game versions of the songs as we could. it also features some songs by my friend rose, who is another member of our studio :)
anyway it’s up on bandcamp for free/pwyw:
and here’s one of my favorites ![]()
This sounds fantastic, love it!
aw thanks, i appreciate it!!
Opened my long-dormant project GROVE (shown in the OP of the thread) for the first time in a long time and have made the potentially unwise decision to pretty much rebuild 90% of my player and game logic.
I’ve learned a lot since writing that code over 18 months ago and I’d love to simplify and form a path to completion for the project.
My goal was to polish and get this on Steam this year but i’ve had a lot less time to work on it than i’d have liked and that feels like a pretty daunting step to take, but im back working on it, which feels good!
lol the curse of working on games in your spare time is being better at making games each time you get back to the project
i’m getting out of the art block yipiiiii

Minigame for a project that involves a lot of minigames inspired by 1970s arcade games.
love it!!!
Made a mini trailer and right now editing the longer trailer. I don’t have a lot so it’s a bit tricky, but it’s fine enough https://youtu.be/VWwrt_T6cX8?si=8g89L1PlJLWqWPv4
ohhhh man i love games with flight controls like this!! looking really good :)
This looks so cool, I flight games are real neat and I definitely haven’t spent enough time working on em myself.
Which is why…. I started working on a flight game myself! You play as a bird! Actual gameplay eventually ![]()
Getting flight controls figured out and feeling right has been very complicated but so far at least everything looks pretty. Gotta really… write up a design doc though. This is for a jam so hopefully in 6 days or so this’ll be a game
I spent SO long flying around in Pilotwings 3DS, and loved Fruits of a Feather. This looks fantastic!
Devlog - Alice's Current Draft - #11 by s1dragon I made myself mad by fiddling with ui stuff. Also that’s what placeholders look like, cod. Or whoever it was.
