I came across this article on Digital Gardening off the back of watching a video about countering brainrot. It’s an interesting idea, and something I think I’m going to experiment with, because I think it might give me a framework to put stuff I’ve been recording in my various commonplace books online for other people to think with. I’m curious what others here think of the idea, or if anyone has experimented with it themselves?
Ooh, just a quick read through and this sounds very appealing to me because this is kind of how “organize” my personal notes anyway, and the thought of having a wiki-ish personal website always sound right to me.
I’ll have a closer read later, but thanks for sharing!
this is a neat idea! really love the ideas presented in here, especially of having different kinda of media interconnected instead of separate? (also their website layout is gorgeous)
unfortunately I got distracted by the title and now I have to make a post about it
Intriguing ideas. It reminds me of an online version of the Zettelkasten, which I’ve used and found to be very useful for organising scraps of research.
I discovered digital gardens a few years ago and loved the concept. I have my own version called Jardim (Portuguese for “garden”) and I love “tending” to it.
I also have a smaller section called Recortes (a Portuguese word for “leaf cuttings” almost) where I write little notes that don’t qualify as posts (in my mind), to keep with that digital garden vibe.
