Beatlog | Games You've Beaten

Today I finished Far Cry 4. I tapped out on FC3 after a few hours so 4 is a huge improvement, but it drags on a bit in the second half and still suffers so much from the Ubisoft “none of this is political” thing.

Did you finish it the easy way where you sit there at the beginning and Pagan Mihn lets you go home ?

That is pretty cool but in the end a gimmick

Just beat the original Metroid. It really tested me but I got through it haha

I recently beat pedit5, aka The Dungeon. I’ve been running through a lot of super-early games recently. It’s neat seeing the earliest examples of a bunch of genres, and how much things have changed since then.

I smashed through all of Powerwash Simulator 2 last weekend because I was anxious about something at work (which turned out to be fine in the end), now i’m a little sad that I didn’t pace myself more. Very relaxing game with a quite silly yet engaging storyline, can’t wait for DLC

i did that with the first one recently, i’d stick on the traitors and work my way through a level. better than any mindfulness exercise i’ve tried.

huh, I tried installing the first one initially, and it was saying it wasn’t compatible with the steam deck so i refunded it… but then I checked protondb just now and it said it was, so i bought it again and was able to install it after rebooting. how odd!

I’m seriously bad at sticking with games when the next shiny thing comes along. I think the only ones I’ve rolled credits on this year are Promise Mascot Agency, Far Cry 6, Nodebuster, and I guess I saw credits on Q-UP, though I don’t feel done with it.

Got a bunch more in various stages of completion, including OG Spyro and one of the old Might and Magics. A few of them I might even go back to.

Oh, finished Watch Dogs 1 as well. Don’t ask me why I stuck with that joyless thing to the end.

don’t forget all the free dlc!

Rolled credits on Age of Imprisonment! Had such a great time. My favorite of the Hyrule Warriors to date!

just beat The Saboteur. Really good overall but the final act is definitely very rushed. Between this and Darksiders, I’ve kinda been into late 2000’s games that appeared on Xbox 360. I think I might start up Bullet Witch next.

EDIT: Just learned that Pandemic was actually shut down BEFORE the game launched, which is absurd and almost certainly why the final act is rushed to hell. Electronic Arts sucks.

I also meant to post when I beat CloverPit recently. It’s Gambling!

I started Total Chaos this morning and walked right back into my boat after the intro put me on the island shore, hit the button for “leave island” and the credits started rolling so I guess technically I’ve beaten it. Also got an achievement for this so its legit.

Hit credits on Ridge Racer 7 though there’s plenty more side content.

It is a perfectly fine arcade racer but vibes wise kind of a let down.

aw that’s a shame, how come? i’ve got RR6 which i’m told is functionally the same game but it felt like a game i really need to sit down and learn, so haven’t played it much.

Idk I guess it feels like it doesn’t have much of an identity. The racing feels good and stuff but most of the music is forgettable, and if the comparison is RR4, well, then that’s hard to beat
