As brought up recently in the I Wish Everyone Would Learn HTML and Build Their Own Website thread, 88 by 31 icons are a fun way to link to other websites and/or show off fun things that you like. I wanted to add a button for The Underscore to my page, but I couldn’t find an 88x31icon, so I decided to make my own:
if someone else has already made one I apologize, I am by no means suggesting this should be the official button for The Underscore, I just wanted to have one.
Anyway, I figured it would be fun to have a thread where people share buttons they have made or like (please specify whether or not they are yours!). I have also made Gup icons:
Here is a button for The Emil Project, a webnovel that my partner January is co-writing, created by the other co-writer Mathie:
It’s beautiful, I love it. I have made one but I’m not happy with it. Struggle with getting the colors readable at that resolution so I’ll keep fiddling with it to get an “official” one, though I like the idea of having a bunch of user created ones out there.
Once I get some time (this year?) I’ll set up a big static page with a wall of buttons linked in the sidebar.
I wanted to link The Death Generator but there’s not an icon from what I can tell. Then it hit me that obviously I should use Death Generator to generate an icon for the Death Generator, and just crop it to the right size:
I should get round to trying this. I only have 2 problems - first, an almost complete lack of artistic skills, and second, a personal website devoid of any fun stuff that other people would like.
