I believe I had the original non-Pro version version as a very young kid, which looked more like a SNES controller. I could be manufacturing memories based on its appearance in the Jazz Jackrabbit demo, but I do remember having that plastic joystick that stuck in the middle of the D-Pad.

That weird shape did not do that controller any favors if I recall correctly. I would get one of the Microsoft Sidewinders, though I believe I just played most PC games with the keyboard until I was able to use my Dualshock4 and Dualsense.

Gamester Phoenix Revolution for PS2. Aside from being able to place the controls in any config you’d like you can also invert the right stick with a toggle switch. Rotating the sticks adjusts how much tension they have.

This has reminded me of another PS2 controller from the same company, the Gamester Clashpads. Both controllers are linked to a box, and it was advertised as a new multiplayer experience as in the middle of gameplay you could mess with the other player’s controller.
