Helloo! I recently published my first game on Steam. It was a small scale release, because 1. it was never primarily a commercial project and 2. I needed to let it go, I was stuck on it for too long.
Anyway what is it? you may ask. Well it’s easy to spoil so I’m gonna stay evasive, but first it’s a short game (1h15ish) about car racing and learning to let go. It takes place in a light futuristic management sim.
It’s pretty experimental, and I think you people there are the right audience for it, so I would recommend going blind into it :)
It’s inspired by, in no particular order: Twin Peaks, the french countryside where I grew up, Citizen Sleeper, Universal Paperclip, group B rally
You can play the game here!!
I tried a little bit of promotion without a lot of success, but you can watch the trailer there:
Ok I played and finished this today and loved it. I want to talk about it but it deserves not to be spoiled at all. @CalDoesThings I did not predict at all where this game was going to go, and it surprised me continually. I beat it all in a single sitting and it was a fantastic experience. The soundtrack worked so well.
omg thank you for playing :) i’m really glad you enjoyed it and let yourself be surprised!
it is indeed best to do it in one go, for the story and because I believe the save system is a little broken
i’m really happy to get messages about it, even if it was not a commercial project I put a looooot of effort into it and it always mean so much to know when people took the time to listen/watch/read/play what you created.
Looking through your list of inspirations above I can totally see the Twin Peaks and Citizen Sleeper influence, but what will stick with me is what you do with the initial premise and how the game ends. Thanks for making this
Hi I’m the annoying person who shows up asking if you have any plans to publish on itch, because I have beef with Valve and refuse to let them have any of my money.
This looks rad and I would love to see it available on itch!
hii, actually it’s already on itch! I thought the link was in the post but it seems like i forgot? thank you for asking! And your beef with valve is understandable
