Yeah I’m leaning on psi-op for this one. The complete lack of focus on community building or anything of the sort and instead leaning on merch and shows stinks of a very liberal mindset. The veneer of radical politics without actually having any. Reminds me, in particular, of how the official BLM organization leeched off of the actual grass roots protestors and basically spun things into PR that nipped away the scary radical politics and demands of the actual people doing the initial protests and sold meaningless merch while going on daytime talk shows. I remember a lot of genuine established, far left activists being pissed at them.

I absolutely loved the video. It got randomly recommended to me from *loud groan* the algorithm, and I was afraid it was going to be another milquetoast “political” review that shied away from real politics and focused on historical wrongdoings. I really liked your perspective, and as a European I appreciated how clearly US-centric it was at times, while still keeping in mind the global nature of the rise of fascism. It’s actually the reason I made an account here! When I heard you had a forum I was like hell yeah.
