It’s been such a long time but we’ve finally got a new Metroid Prime. I’ve only just started but so far it’s exactly what I was hoping for from a Prime game. Anyone else playing or just enjoying watching others stream it?

I still need to play 2, 3, Hunters, and Pinball, but it’s been fun seeing reviews range from “It’s okay I guess” to “Those magnificent bastards did it again!”
after Dread, I knew the reviews weren’t going to reflect my taste in Metroid games so I preordered because I was day one on the first Metroid Prime and that was 22 years ago… am I fuck waiting to save a fiver on this one when I don’t know how long it’ll be for a sequel.
Be fascinated to see what you think of MP3 now we’re far from the trends of that time.
Same here. I played through all the 2D titles a few years ago leading up to Dread and it was a great experience, then I played the Prime remaster when it dropped, but haven’t gotten around to Prime 2 and 3 again (I played them a good bit as a kid but was not good enough to ever really beat them). I feel like I’d probably still enjoy Prime 4 without it but I just love playing games in release order to see the context of how the designs have changed.
I’m still relatively early on. I’ve only played the original, super, prime 1, and dread. I’m enjoying it for sure. There’s some criticism out there that I def agree with but we’ll see how it plays out for the whole game.
