Label the boxes?
oooh which game is built into your master system? mine came with sonic 1 so i’ve got a big fondness for that one.
Nah, the boxes really don’t need labels. They just contain the controllers, peripherals and games for the consoles directly above or below them.
I unfortunately do not have the room or furniture to display them in a more aesthetic manner, but it ranges from Atari 8-bit and C64 stuff to Xbox 360 and PS3 and is quite an eclectic mix.
I got big into video game collecting in 2019, but I’ve since cooled off as I’ve shifted my focus to arcade games. The N64 and Saturn have been packed up as I plan to sell them; I’ve barely played them after all this time, and a big factor is that it’s gotten too expensive to collect games for them. I’ve also been thinking about selling the GameCube as I already do have a Wii. The SNES and Genesis are 100% staying though; it was expensive but I managed to get some of the best SNES games ever made, while the Genesis is both relatively cheap to collect for and has a solid library of very good games.
Not pictured: My Switch 2, PS5, and PS3.
Damn! Y’all have some great collections! I gotta take some pictures of my games for each console and share em!
Here’s some more in depth pics of my actual game collection!
I didn’t take pictures of my portable games or PS2 game because frankly, I got a lot and I couldn’t be bothered taking them out. ![]()
My collection is kinda scattered around everywhere so I thought i would pick out a couple higlights. Here’s a box of C64 games and a peek into The Drawer. (plus I’m new so i can only attach one image)
That widescreen CRT is awesome! Really puts my little 13” Trinitron to shame.
Ah yes, the drawer we all have one.
I’ve never had the chance to really delve into the C64.. I should consider emulating it some time because I hear it has some great classics!
Yeah, the widescreen CRT is great! One huge downside though is that light gun games don’t work on it ![]()
But that’s why I also have a lil’ CRT in my room.
Totally recommend trying out some C64 games. It’s one of my favourite pieces of hardware (I may be biased since it was my first computer).
