Oh, you know at one point I was thinking about asking to contribute to this zine, like writing an article about a game I like or maybe making some silly sprite comics for it. Anyway, love your work, and ig let me know if you’re looking for contributions!
Wrote a post about some sweet 3DS games still stuck on the system!
Yeah, I’ve been making music for about 14 years and like to put stuff out when the urge takes me. In fact, I just dropped a new album last night but it’s more a “greatest hits” of a series I’ve been working on for the past year.
90 minutes left on my Kickstarter!
It’ll be nice to wrap up this big book, then I can relax and…
Start drafting my articles for the next Retro Game Zine, respond to some interview questions from a developer about my next big book, and then outline my thoughts for a personal project that I’m going to be pitching to a publisher.
Nice and easy.
Once upon a time and another name ago, I channelled my frustration from my degrading day job into a small piece of interactive fiction. It changed the course of my life, for better and for worse.
Thirteen years later, I’m in another frustrating day job, wondering if it’s time to make another video game.
So I have various things out there, the most recent of which is my zine ‘The Author Has Been Tweeting: A Graphic Poem’, which is a little comic I made out of one of my poems because I’ve been learning to draw over the past year and a bit and I think I’ve gotten pretty good at it: https://ko-fi.com/s/943b7dfafd
I also have a Bandcamp page with a bunch of my spoken word and experimental albums on it: the end of the endless | AJ McKenna
And I have a pamphlet and an ebook you can buy on the webshite of The Hated Bezos but I’ll refrain from linking those because fuck that guy.
I am author who spent a lot of time cultivating a mecha sci-fi world where good people fight corporate influence, and where the government is formed after a workers rebellion of corporate space influence. I’m planning to write more in the universe, but I’m pretty proud of the work and effort I put in with this first one.
I make games, fonts and music (and occasionally other things too!) most of which are totally free and CC0 :)
I share everything here on itch, let me know if you find a use for the music or fonts! I’d love to see what people do with them
The next episode of Flashback 64 on 1080 Snowboarding (featuring one AlienBob) is now available early on our patreon!
Been blogging like crazy the past few days
going absolutely feral with these words and stuff
I’m such a typophile and I love these!!
I love that for you. I’ve hit a bit of a slump lately despite having a list of things to cover.
You’ll get back on it! I’m sure we’ve all had those dry spells. It’ll pass before you know it!
I’m a video editor currently working on a podcast studio, but would love to change that to being a full remote editor. I also have experience working in youtube channels, used to work on a journalism one. Last project (that is not a videocast in portuguese and therefore makes sense to share) would be this videoclipe i worked as both a editor and camera this year
And my portfolio, with more works
Made a simple browser version of Hangman, as that’s now illegal in the UK (our government just banned depictions of choking).
(It’s been labelled it a “priority offense” – the same category as CP or terrorism materials, quite clearly an absurd piece of legislation entirely deserving of ridicule. Censorship isn’t the answer here, proper education around consent and safe practices is.)
Wrote a fun lil’ roundup of games that I’m playing, plan to play, and have played for my blog ![]()
Hi there!
My name is Andrew and I write and record a podcast called Dialogue Tree. I describe it as a show about video games, and a show that sometimes tells stories. It’s a show that covers games big and small, in ways big and small. There’s reviews, interviews, field recordings, audio collage, and lots of good, old fashioned words. I try to respect people’s time, and make each episode worthwhile. I think it’s a good time so far, and that you’ll probably find at least one episode in the archive that appeals to you. You can check it out at:
And if you do, thanks.
I released this a few days ago. It’s like a greatest hits of a project I’ve been working on since last year featuring songs sampling the Dragon Quest soundtrack.
I remember this game!
Ayyyyyyy fancy meeting you here!
