Just wanna share character designs I like in media and see what others like as well. Here are a few that everybody may not know:
K’ (Pronounced “K Dash”) from the King of Fighters franchise. Probably my favorite fighting game character design ever. Simple, powerful and cool as hell. The way he animates in game and the voice lines enhance his design so much too.
Hotsuma from Shinobi (PS2). Another super cool design. Big fan of the long red scarf (Strider Hiryu is another design I really love). In-game, this design works even better because it trails behind him constantly as he moves, making everything even more satisfying visually.
Zero, specifically the Mega Man Zero design. I’m a big fan of both how sleek and angular he is in this design and a lot of the art made of this version of zero is some of the coolest I think. His eyes being much more serious and sharp add to how cool I think he looks. Big fan of the really angular saber as well.
King is such an inspired design - one of my favorite fighting game characters ever. I particularly love his Tekken 3 outfit. The baggy pants with the animal print… so cool…
Almost every monster in Monster Hunter!! The way they did the character art in Final Fantasy Tactics! A lot of early gen Pokemon, almost all of the gear in FFXIV, all of the alien races in mass effect…uhh this is a really hard question actually. I’m having a hard time coming up with specific characters. Spider Jerusalem?
A recent pick, but I think the Wylder from Elden Ring Nightreign is my favorite suit of armor in any video game ever. The winged helmet, pointed faceplate, narrow eye holes, embroidered fabric, Celtic shield, cool dude scarf… (if only I actually liked to play as him)
