Hello friends!
Five years ago, finding myself in a bit of a rough mental health situation, sitting on the waitlist for therapy, I thought, “Bob, the only way you’re going to feel better about yourself and get more comfortable in your own body is to put yourself out there.”
Now here we are, dozens of YouTube videos later, a bustling Discord and Forum community later, 500 live streams later. Without the stream there would have been no YouTube, no Discord, no forum, and my life would have gone in a very different direction, so I think the time has come for a grand celebration!
You are all, each of you, cordially invited to BOBSTREAM 500: THE BOBATHON, a 3 to 12 hour adventure through time, space, and some remarkably awful games.
When: Saturday May 30th starting at 10:00 CEST.

The base stream starts at 3 hours, but with your help we can unlock all these goodies:
- At €300 the stream gets extended to 6 hours!
- At €400 I will do a Bad Game Roulette. I have chosen 12 of the finest pieces of crap. Chance will determine the nature of my curse. More details below.
- At €500 I will do a personal, handcrafted virtual guided tour of everyone’s favorite Caribbean island, Aruba. Get ready for very exciting stories from my youth like how I used to have weekly lunches with Tessa the Esso Tiger!
- At €600 the stream will be extended to 12 hours and I will play a co-op game with my partner, or perhaps some adversarial Mario Kart.
- At €700 It’s Bad Game Roulette 2: The Sequel!
- At €800 Incredible, it’s Bad Game Roulette 3!
- At €1000 I will attempt to do something almost certainly never done before in the history of the universe. I will play Super Mario 64 with the abominable Saitek Cyborg 3D Digital controller! Watch this video to see how much of a challenge that will be.
SUPER EXTRA BIG STRETCH GOAL
If I hit €1500 I will make videos of the Bad Game Roulette games. Either a 10-minuter on each or one big video, depends on how it goes.
Note: If donation goals are hit during the stream and I don’t have enough time to complete them, I will do them in later streams.

Bills and rent, naturally, but I also want to invest into my activities a little. Pay hosting for the forum two years ahead, get a better capture card so recordings from consoles and old computers are of higher quality, and general upgrades to my computer so I can dump more wild effects into my videos without it getting too toasty.
This is it, this is my big fundraising drive for the year. If you like any of the many things I do and have the ability to help me do more of that, now is the time!
Bad Game Roulette
I have chosen 12 total games in three categories. The categories are Barbie, Advergames, and Licensed Trash. The categories are just for some structured diversity. It’s very well possible that all three spins of the wheel land inside a single category, making for a real horro show. Now I call it Bad Game Roulette, but you know me, I might end up adoring some of these unironically.
I’ve scheduled about 90 minutes for each game I land on, but if I hit the big stretch goal and 90 minutes isn’t enough to give good impressions of a game in a video, I’ll do another stream of them for the sake of completion.

After Bobstream 500 I’m gonna take a short streaming sabbatical to build a new stream setup with fresh graphics and such, and then when I return I will stop counting and have a more flexible schedule. Another big reason why I started streaming was to develop persistence and consistency, to be able to commit myself to a project. I think with hitting the big five oh oh I can say I achieved my goal.
