Absolute disaster that you rly love?

Friday the 13th. Both of them. The NES game AND the failed modern asymmetric multiplayer game.

The logic of the F13 NES game makes no sense as far as progression goes, it has 3 songs that are just 2 second loops, it plays like ass, and there are a total of 2 bosses that you just fight again and again.

And yet…

There is something to the IDEA of F13 NES.

A survival horror game where your lives are different characters, and those characters can be killed off screen if you aren’t fast enough.

An NES game where the killer moves around the game world and you have to anticipate where he will strike next.

Sending a character to fight Jason, knowing he isn’t going to make it out alive, just in the hopes that he whittles down enough of his health so the next character can beat him.

I mean it has to be one of the first horror games with an open world concept, right?

As for the asymmetric horror game…well… I love any game where me and my entire discord can just do bits with each other and goof off.

The game wouldn’t load for many people (myself included) the first week it came out, but once they patched that problem, there was nothing like it. It wasn’t trying to be a competitive E-Sport like Dead By Daylight was/is. it was trying to be an actual scary game to play with and against your friends. And before the victims figured out the best strategies to cheese the game, it was pretty damn fun.
