Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (March 4th, 1997)
I loved this game, fog and all! I thought it had incredible vibes and was pretty forward thinking as our first fully 3D shooter on the Nintendo 64. Banging soundtrack as well…

My experience with Turok is funny because it’s the cover story of my favorite issue of Nintendo Power, but I never played it.
I have played Turok 2 - but mostly multiplayer.
I highly recommend checking out the Nightdive Studios remaster!
Blast Corps (March 24th, 1997) and FIFA Soccer 64 (March 27th, 1997)
Blast Corps is such a unique and fun game in the library. Rare was really cooking there. FIFA is… under baked to say the least. Not a great start for soccer games on the console but they get better!
Blast Corps was the first N64 game I bought myself at an internet cafe that you could also play console games at. I loved putzing around in all the weird vehicles but I found it so difficult as a kid. Maybe a good candidate for a streaming series with the goal of actually making it too the end.
It’s def pretty hard! Sometimes annoying… but still quite fun
I’ve been meaning to try Blast Corp ever since I saw it on the cover of Nintendo Power in 1997. ![]()
It’s on NSO and I still haven’t tried it.
It has very fun springy sproingy music too
… Not the “64” I was hoping to find here. I’m so old. #Commodore64
