THIS GAME! This game is forever baked into the deepest, most potent nostalgia receptors of my mind and there’s so much about it I love (the high score menu definitely belongs in this thread - posting it below this). I also despise this game. It’s so hard. I could not beat it as a kid; I cannot beat it as an adult. It is cruel and unforgiving and I come back to it about once every two months to try my hand at the harder levels and still never beat them lol

I know nothing more chill than this.

… Okay maybe that’s an exaggeration.

My favorite game soundtrack of all time. Katamari Damacy is an unparalleled work of art I love it so much.

I have soooooo many memories with this game from growing up! Weirdly enough though, my cousin and I took turns playing it on PC :joy: but the directional keys actually worked really well for the game.

Still hard as nails though

Posting this here too! Getchu some cozy Winter VGM :snowman:

Not always Chill but if you’re an Outer Wilds fan you absolutely owe it to yourself to check out The Lost Reels, a project and playlist from the game’s composer created after the DLC shipped. It’s a wildly impressive exploration of the game’s literary themes by way of its musical themes, thoroughly extracting a ton of thematic development from the pieces written for the game+DLC itself, and you’ll get the most out of it if you recognize the context of these themes from within the game. From the description:

“When I finished writing the music for Echoes, these characters felt like friends that I’d never see again. It has been a wonderful experience to enter their world again and revisit them. Lost Reels jumps head-first into the Outer Wilds idea of an existential awakening, as well as the alternative Echoes of the Eye touches on - a descent into madness.”

ooooh the little drop of the Hack Infection OST, what a pleasure <3

One chill OST I’m always coming back too is the Dandara one. I’m impressed by the richness of the arrangement and percussions of Thommaz Kaufmann, what an inspiring work.

Bandcamp link to the song I wanted to emb via Youtube and Bandcamp but i’m not familiar with markdown T_T

Jurassic Park on SNES has one of my favorite tracks ever.

File City from Digimon World on PS1
It really was a weird game. The music was launch from the beginning of the song whenever you enter a zone, so it wasn’t rare to never hear a song from beginning to the end in a zone.
This one though is one heard a lot, the village song, which is a cute song. I really love that OST and that game even if everything in it is hyper broken.
